Beanie Bear Post ~ November
Beanie Bear Post is an art and nature mail club celebrating Australian nature, with a focus on our native flora and fauna. Each month, you’ll receive a thoughtfully curated envelope filled with artwork, information and interactive activities, all inspired by my own photography and observations of the natural world.
This little project grew from my love of nature and handmade art. I’ve always loved nature, even as a child, and have fond memories of spending time exploring, discovering little creatures and being fascinated by the world around me. After spending more time reconnecting with the natural world and learning about the incredible plants and animals that call Australia home, I felt inspired to bring these discoveries into my art practice. I also wanted to create something that captures a sense of curiosity, nostalgia and childhood wonder.
I’ve always loved the magic of receiving mail, too. There was something so special about having something arrive just for you, filled with little surprises to open, explore and enjoy. Beanie Bear Post is my way of bringing together these two little loves and sharing a bit of that magic with you.
If you’re new to snail mail clubs, think of it as a little bundle of goodies arriving in your letterbox each month. Something to open slowly, enjoy, keep and revisit.
November theme: birds
With spring in full swing, I’ve been loving noticing all the wonderful birdlife around me. From butcherbirds in my backyard to little trips to local reserves and waterways, birds seem to be everywhere, busy at work. Raising their young, building nests and feasting amongst the spring blooms.
I’ve carefully gathered some of my favourite bird discoveries into this month’s Mail Club to share with you. Inside, you’ll find a little blend of education, illustration and fun activities, all designed to encourage you to slow down, look a little closer and get curious about the natural world around you.
All of the illustrations in this month’s Mail Club were created from my own photographs and observations. I wanted each piece to feel personal, almost like taking a little piece of my adventures home with you.
I’ve also chosen mostly recycled and plant-based papers throughout the collection. This felt like an extra special detail, helping to connect the materials back to the natural environment that inspired this month’s adventure.
What you'll receive:
A 4 × 6 art print
An original artwork inspired by the Blue-faced Honeyeater, printed on Ilford Premium Matte Duo paper.
A letter all about birds
A double-sided A4 letter filled with fascinating facts, my own observations and little illustrations inspired by the things I’ve spotted. Printed on recycled paper made from sugarcane by-product.
Birding checklist
An A5 birding activity featuring a selection of widespread Australian birds for you to spot and tick off. Alongside each bird, you'll find a little information about its habitat to help you know where to look. I’ve aimed to include birds that can be found across Australia, including Tasmania, as well as coastal species found along Australia's coastlines.
Printed on recycled paper made from sugarcane by-product.
Stained glass sticker
An approximately 8 × 5.5 cm transparent Superb Fairy-wren sticker. These little stickers can be placed on windows to create a stained-glass effect, or against a white background to accentuate all the lovely details.
Bird-themed crossword
A little bird-themed crossword that doubles as a word scavenger hunt! Search through the letter to find the hidden words, using the clues to guide you along. Printed on recycled paper.
Recycled paper envelope
Made from paper containing pineapple by-products, adding another little nature-inspired detail to your bundle.
A shimmery wax seal
One final little detail to seal your bundle.
I hope this month’s Mail Club gives you a little reason to slow down, look a little closer and notice some of the incredible life hiding all around us.
Sign-ups are open until the end of November, and each little bundle will be carefully packed and sent as orders come in.
Each month features a new theme, with limited quantities available.
I aim to print, pack and ship all orders as quickly as possible. During busy periods, please allow up to 5 business days for your order to be packed and dispatched.
You’ll receive an email confirmation once your order has been shipped. As Mail Club is sent via Australia Post, delivery times can vary depending on your location and may take a few weeks. If your order hasn’t arrived within one month of shipping, please get in touch via the Contact page.
